**Commissions Fertilizer Plant project
President of the Nigerian Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki yesterday laid the foundation stone of Train 2 of the Indorama Fertilizer Plant in Eleme, Rivers State.
The Senate President during his official visit to the state commended the host community and the Rivers State Government led by Governor Nyesom Wike for being receptive to foreign investment and attracting a whooping $3.2b direct investment into the economy of the State, the only such singular investment by an entity anywhere in Nigeria in the last 25 years .
Dr Saraki who is still basking in the euphoria of his recent Supreme Court victory against the Buhari – led federal government on account of his appeal against CCT trials on alleged false assets declaration while as Kwara state governor, expressed confidence that on the Governor’s superlative leadership as he boasted that he (Governor Wike) would still be Governor of Rivers State in August 2021, 35 months from today, when the Plant would be ready for commissioning.
There are also strong indications that the Senate President might be rejoining his former party prior to the 2015 General Elections, the PDP soonest, as he warms up for the nation’s No.1 seat of power come 2019 after he and his other former nPDP members who defected to ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2015 have left the party to form the new rAPC factional wing within same party.
