Fresh report reaching NEWS FLAKES NG as at PRESS TIME has it that the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara State, Iyiola Oyedepo, has dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC)
Oyedepo made the announcement on Wednesday morning.
According to TVC News, Oyedepo on a live telephone radio program in Ilorin insisted that he can never work with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki who recently joined the PDP.
He was quoted as saying, “Darkness and light can never work together and I can never work with Saraki. I will rather pitch my tent with the APC instead of working with Saraki in PDP”.
NEWS FLAKES NG recalls that Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed on Wednesday announced their exit from the ruling party.
Saraki had said, “I wish to inform Nigerians that after extensive consultations, I have decided to take my leave off the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said although it was a tough move, he has returned to PDP where he began his political journey.
Similarly, Governor Ahmed in a statement sent to our source by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Dr. Muyideen Akorede, explained that his decision followed due consultations with the people and in response to calls by major stakeholder groups in the state.
