Real Madrid midfielder, Luka Modric has been named UEFA Men’s Player of the Season, beating out Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah to win the much coveted European football top prize for the 2017/2018 season.
The Croatian player was also named Midfielder of the Season for the second successive year at a ceremony which took place in Monaco this afternoon, with most Real Madrid UCL 2017/2018 players claiming most awards of the night.
Former Club’s talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo who now plays for Juventus won the Champions League’s best forward award with Real Madrid after becoming the top scorer in the competition for a sixth-year running.
Fierce defender and Madrid’s captain, Sergio Ramos clinched the best defender award while Keylor Navas won the Best Goalkeeper award for thesame season under review.
