By John Izabi,
Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ademola Adeleke has failed to show up at the Osun State Governorship debate organised by Channels Television in Osogbo, Osun State on Sunday September 16, 2018
NEWS FLAKES NG can authoritatively report that Adeleke’s podium with his name and party’s written on it remained vacant from the beginning to the end of the two-hour debate.
The event started at 7:00 p.m with three candidates present. They include Moshood Adeoti, Action Democratic Party (ADP); Iyiola Omisore, Social Democratic Party (SDP), and Fatai Akinbade, African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) later arrived after the national anthem had been recited and the three candidates have introduced themselves, reading their profile.
Meanwhile, reasons for the conspicuous absence of the PDP Candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke from the much publicized exercise still remains to be known as at the time of filing this report.
Although there have been some unconfirmed reports by some section of the media and picked up by NEWS FLAKES NG earlier on Sunday that the Senator and cousin, Davido were allegedly attacked by some unidentified hoodlums during one of the campaign rallies in the state, Ede to be precise but can’t be concluded if that was part of the reasons for failing to on the debate as expected.
