ABEOKUTA – In what appears to be a divine foresight, the outgoing Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has predicted and hinted that his death would come after attaining the age of 90 and above.

He said he would also appreciate if his corpse could be taken round the state as state honour for his unprecedented infrastructural achievements in the state.

Amosun stated this on Thursday while speaking at a town hall meeting for 2019 budget preparation held at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Abeokuta.

He said, “By the time I die, which is going to be when I attain the age of 90 and above, I want you to celebrate me and carry my corpse round the state, which should also include projects sites initiated by our administration”.

He added further that he would love to be remember after leaving office as a Governor who transform Ogun State, stressing that part of ways he would be remember was number of bridges and flyovers his administration constructed among others.

The controversial governor added that, he would also build a city gate, to be located in Siun an axis of Abeokuta-Owode-Sagamu Highway, which according to him, will remain a reference point among his administration projects.

The governor also reaffirmed that nobody will stop his preferred governorship candidate, Hon. Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade from emerging the ogun state Governor in 2019.

“Hon Akinlade will succeed me when I finish my tenure in may 2019, because, he is the only one who is capable to continue from where I stopped in the infrastrutural development in the state.

“We will win in every local government in the state, either yewa, ijebu, Abeokuta south count them, we are ready for them, anywhere they go we shall meet them there.
“They can not choose for the people, the people know the right candidate who is Hon. Akinlade.

“How many are they. They said they want to pick deputy governor from Yewa that they denied from producing the governor and in Central here, they are not acceptable, even in Ijebu they claimed to have come from, they are not totally accepted. We outnumbered them”.
