Police Arrest Amosu for Deflowering 16-yr-old in Ogun – READ MORE

 

Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 42-year old man, Abiodun Amosu for allegedly deflowering his 16 – year old housemaid at the family residence located at Government Reservation Area (GRA), Ibara, in Abeokuta, the State Capital.

NEWS FLAKES NG gathers that, the Command Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incident on Sunday, adding that the suspect, who is a Website Designer, committed the crime on October 25, at number 6, Sowemimo Street in the Housing Estate, while his wife was away in Lagos.

‘His arrest followed the complaint lodged at Ibara Police Division by the Benue State born victim (name withheld) who was accompanied to the station by a member of Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR)’, the police said.

The Command spokesman stated further that the victim told the police that the suspect forcefully dragged her into his bedroom and had carnal knowledge of her, adding further that when she started making noise after the man has had his way; the suspect beat her up and send her out of the house.

He said, it was when a member of Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) saw her and took her to the station to report,adding that upon the report, the Divisional Police Officer, Dada Olusegun led detectives to the scene where the randy suspect was arrested.

‘On interrogation, the suspect initially denied the allegation, but when confronted with the blood stained bedsheet in his bedroom, he admitted to the commission of the offence’, Oyeyemi stated.

‘The victim who claimed to be a virgin before the incident has been taken to General Hospital for medical attention and the medical report has confirmed that victim was actually sexually abused’, the police said.

NEWS FLAKES NG gathers that, as at the time of filing this report, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu has directed that the case be transferred to Anti Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for proper investigation and prosecution of the suspect.
