The House of Representatives has given President Muhammadu Buhari 48 hours to address the nation over the spate of killings in the country. This was part of the resolutions reached by lawmakers in the House when the matter came up during Thursday’s plenary. They agreed that the President should address them and the nation regarding the attacks on communities in Benue, Zamfara, Kaduna, and other states where many people were killed and several others displaced. Bees Kill Customs officer while on patrol duty [READ MORE]

NEWS FLAKES NG gathers that Abba Abubakar, a senior officer of the Nigeria Customs Service, has died after he was attacked by a swarm of bees. A statement by the agency disclosed that Abubakar, attached to the Seme Customs Command, was attacked while on patrol duty along Ashipa axis of Badagry, Lagos on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Saidu Abdullahi, the Seme Command spokesperson, praised the deceased as someone who discharged his duties diligently. “He has never failed to report at his duty post daily. Six Persons Escape Death in Ogun As Timber-laden Tipper Collides With Taxi [SEE PHOTOS]

A timber-ladden Tipper with numberplate XB 202 TT yesterday crushed a RAV4 Car and a Taxi car filled with passengers at Sunny Yinka Filling Station, leme, Abeokuta in Ogun State while trying to avoid a trailer that was coming out of the filling station. According to eyewitnesses, the driver and passengers in the taxi sustained injuries and have been taken to the hospital for treatment while the owner of the RAV escaped unscathed.
