LOKOJA – Senator Dino Melaye has today lost the Governorship election ticket to Engr Wada, who emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer for the November 16 governorship election. Musa Wada, a younger brother of the immediate past Governor Idris Wada, who also contested for the ticket, scored 748 votes to clinch the party ticket. Man to die by hanging for stabbing girlfriend to death during argument

AKURE – A 26-year-old man, Saliu Oladayo, has been sentenced to death by hanging for killing his girlfriend, Confidence Ebere. Oladayo was sentenced to death on Tuesday by an Ondo State High Court, sitting in Akure, the state capital. The convict, who stabbed his girlfriend, 19-year-old Ebere to death at Oshinle Quarters, Akure, following a disagreement that ensued between in May 2018, was said to have absconded from the scene before his arrest.
