Gunmen kidnap NTA staff in Ogun, demand N15m ransom

Unknown gunmen have abducted a staff of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Abiodun Adenuga at his residence in Aiyepe in Odogbolu local government area of Ogun State.

A source in the family who confirmed the incident, disclosed that, Adenuga was abducted around 10pm on Tuesday at his residence.

The source said the gunmen held Adenuga at gunpoint and whisked him away.

Adenuga was said to have returned from his NTA Ijebu Ode office, after retiring to his Aiyepe hometown where he usually come to work in Ijebu Ode, a distance of about 30 minutes drive.

According to the sources, the abductors had demanded a ransom of N15 million for his release.

He stated that the abductors had opened negotiations with the members of the family and had refused to reduce the ransom.

The State Commands Spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the abduction but was silence on the identity of the victim.

Oyeyemi noted that the police were doing all the needful to ensure that the person was rescued.
