Protests As Police officer Kills Truck Driver Over N50 Bribe In Ondo

  ONDO – Some truck drivers, on Monday, barricaded the Akure-Owo Expressway at Uso in the Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, to protest the alleged killing of one of them by a policeman at a checkpoint in the town. It was gathered that the protest halted vehicular movement on the road for several hours. The deceased, whose identity had yet to be ascertained as of the time of filing this report, was said to be heading for the northern part of the country when the tragedy struck.   The Department of State Services (DSS) on Tuesday said they have uncovered syndicated plots by some “undesirable groups” to cause a breakdown of law and order in various parts of the country including Abuja. Gov Abiodun Presents N449.97bn Budget 2020 to Ogun Assembly

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun on Tuesday presented the 2020 Appropriation Bill to the State House of Assembly. The Governor presented the proposed budget, tagged, “Budget to Build Our Future Together” at the State House of Assembly Complex in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the State capital. The proposed budget has an increment of N49.674 billion as against 400.3billion of 2019 budget. Governor Abiodun while giving the breakdown of the propsed budget, disclosed that Capital expenditure will gulp N269,132 billion representing 60percent while Recurrent Expenditure stood at N180, 842 billion which is 39.69percent. Black Tuesday As Two Die in Ogun accident

  Two people have lost their lives, in an accident that involved an Actros truck (TSL) marked ABC-580-XS and an unmarked Bajaj motorcycle, at Ago Igbala area of Ibafo, in Ogun state.
