Court sends DG NCAC, Runsewe to prison

A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory has sent the Director-General of National Council for Arts and Culture, Olusegun Runsewe to prison over alleged contempt of the court. Justice Jude Okeke gave the order while delivering ruling on a motion from a suit filed by Ummakalif limited which had the Minister of FCT, Federal Capital Development Authority, DG of NCAC and the Minister of Culture and Tourism as first to fourth defendants respectively. NUC scraps Mass Communications in Nigerian varsities, carves out seven new ones from it

The National Universities Commission, NUC, has phased out Mass Communication Degree in Nigeria institutions. With the development, there will be no more Mass Communication as a degree programme in universities in Nigeria.
