BREAKING: Nine Imo lawmakers defect to APC

lawmakers of the Imo State House of Assembly, on Tuesday, defected to the All Progressives Congress from Peoples Democratic Party, All Progressives Grand Alliance, and Action Action.   The lawmakers who defected are Authur Egwim (Ideato North) from AA to APC; Chyna Iwuanyanwu(Nwangele), PDP; Chidiebere Ogbunikpa(Okigwe), PDP; Obinna Okwara(Nkwerre), AA; and Paul Emeziem (Onuimo) also from PDP to APC.   Others are Ekene Nnodimele (Orsu) from APGA to APC, Johnson Duru (Ideato South), AA; Ngozi Obiefule (Isu) AA; and Heclus Okorocha (Ohaji/Egbema) from PDP to APC. Supreme Court Affirms Ahmadu Fintiri’s Election As Adamawa Governo

Obasanjo Unveils Garment Factory In Abeokuta, Harps On Entrepreneurial Skills

Parents, Students Lament High ‘Acceptance Fee’ In Public Universities

Parents and some newly admitted students have decried multiple charges by public universities in the country, payment of high ‘acceptance fees’ alongside other moneys demanded during registration. Daily Trust reports that many federal and state universities charge over N50,000 from each prospective student as acceptance fee prior to “screening” that will pave way for the student to register. In some universities, the money paid for registration is between N35,000 and N40,000.
