29 passengers cheat death as bus plunges into canal

  Passengers on board a commercial bus, popularly called Danfo, yesterday escaped death after the bus plunged into a canal in front of the National Theatre complex, Iganmu, Lagos. They were all rescued unhurt. It was gathered that the vehicle, with registration number MUS 68 XH, suddenly developed technical problem and plunged into the canal opposite National Theatre entrance. Man dies at Lagos airport after receiving news of wife’s death

LAGOS – Jude Oladapo, 44-year-old passenger, has slumped and died while undergoing boarding procedures at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos. Joseph Alabi, spokesperson for the MMIA police command, said the incident happened on Saturday when the deceased was waiting to board an Air France flight out of the country.
