TRAGEDY: OAU extra year student commits suicide over carry over courses

An extra year student of Obafemi Awolowo University, identified as Kolapo Olowoporoku has committed suicide after he failed some courses. TRAGEDY: Auto Crash Claims Seven Lifes, Injure scores in Kwara [READ MORE]

An auto-crash on Tuesday claimed seven persons in Oke-oyi, Ilorin east local government area of Kwara state.  It was gathered that the deceased include three men and four women, while the injured were 34 women and 24 men. A timber-ladden Tipper with numberplate XB 202 TT yesterday crushed a RAV4 Car and a Taxi car filled with passengers at Sunny Yinka Filling Station, leme, Abeokuta in Ogun State while trying to avoid a trailer that was coming out of the filling station. According to eyewitnesses, the driver and passengers in the taxi sustained injuries and have been taken to the hospital for treatment while the owner of the RAV escaped unscathed. Tragedy strucked over the weekend as a private Lexus Jeep on Sunday plunged into the river on Ijebu-Ode/Benin Expressway, killing a woman and injuring her daughter, an official has said.
