Nigerian professional footballer gets indefinite suspension for slapping referee

  A Nigerian professional footballer, Yakubu Hassan has been ban indefinitely from playing football by the Nasarawa State Football Association for slapping a centre referee during a football match. Hassan, who plays for ”Dubagari Football Club”, Lafia, a local team in Nasarawa state slapped a centre referee Kasimu Ahmadu during a football match with another local team, Winda Force Football Club on October 29 after he was cautioned for an infringement. Crazy Scorline As Plateau United Feeders Beat Akurba United 79 – 0

The Nationwide League One (NLO) produced some crazy scorlines as Plateau United feeders beat Akurba United 79-0, while Police Machine FC of Yola and Bubayero FC of Gombe played out a 67-0. The NLO is the lowest tier of football in Nigeria and the sides involved were trying to gain promotion into the Nationwide League Division 3.
