ABEOKUTA – Tragedy struck on Tuesday evening in Ogun State as a motorcyclist and his passenger were crushed to death by a truck belonging to a multinational cement company. The ugly incident happened at Imowo Eleran along Ibadan road, in Ijebu-Ode area of the State. The driver of the truck was said to have crushed the motorcyclist and his passenger from behind, as they were reported to have died on the spot. Tragedy As Another Federal Lawmaker, Gawo Dies in Dubai on New Year Eve

Tragedy struck Tuesday night as a member representing Garki/Babura federal constituency of Jigawa State, Hon Muhammed Gawo is dead. Gawo died in Dubai, United Arab Emirates late on Tuesday, our correspondent gathered. Information about cause of his death remains sketchy as at the time of filing this report. He was 65. An uncle of the deceased confirmed the death to journalists.
