ABEOKUTA - Ogun state Labour Party Chairman, Comrade Abayomi Arabambi has appealed to the Executive Governor of the state, Prince Dapo Abiodun to beam the searchlight on top politically exposed persons in the state who may have contracted the dreaded coronavirus disease.
The Chairman made this passionate appeal in a two-page letter personally signed by himself and dated April 27, 2020.
Comrade Arabambi who is also the immediate past Chairman of the state's Inter-party Advisory Council (IPAC), said his letter is coming on the heels of a recent insinuations that a top chieftain of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, in the state Honourable Ladi Adebutu may have tested positive to COVID-19, yet refusing to make public the status of his test.
He noted that Hon. Adebutu who reportedly carried out his COVID-19 test recently in Lagos, was among the top PDP personalities who attended the party's South West Unification Rally in Ibadan where Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State later tested positive to the dreaded virus.

In his words,
"Again it is a fact that Hon. Adebutu and most of his political aides and security personnel where at the highly suspected Ibadan PDP Southwest Unification Rallies that increased the spread of the virus in Ibadan from where many top notchers were suspected to have got in contact with the virus including Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State".
He however advised the commended the state's government's efforts at containing and preventing further spread of virus in the state while appealing to the Governor not to allow the secretive nature of some politically exposed persons in the state like Hon. Adebutu to jeopardize the efforts of the government so far at putting an end to global pandemic in the state.
Recall that Comrade Abayomi Arabambi and the camp of Honourable Adebutu have been engulfed in war of words of recent with the the former alleging that Adebutu is hiding his COVID-19 status and should make it public in order to ensure the safety of those around him and other Ogun indigenes in general.
