It is already a common knowledge that the degree of joblessness in Nigeria has kept on ascending throughout the years. It is hence troubling that even alumni of tertiary organizations considered as skilled labor have been nibbled by this joblessness bug.

NEWS FLAKES NG reports that one of the result of such unemployment bug is an instance in which a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsuka (UNN) in Enugu State, South Eastern Nigeria, has put up his certificate for sale because of his inability to get a job in the country. The alumni, Godwin Joseph Ochie, who is from Enugu, Enugu State put up his Bachelor of Science (Bsc) and National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) certificate up to be purchased on Social Media (Facebook) on Saturday.

According to Ochie the explanation behind doing such odd act is on the grounds that his certificate couldn't to get him a work in Nigeria, also along these lines he expressed his other desire which is to consume them if nobody buys them.

In his words:

"Certificate for sale or I consume Them. They don't work in Nigeria", he posted on social media.

Report has it that Ochie had graduated from the department of Political Science, UNN with a Second Class Honors (Upper Division) in 2010 and got his certificate in 2011. It also showed that Ochie finished the required NYSC service in 2012, which he began in the year 2011 and was one of the recipients of the N-Power scheme that was halted in August, 2020.

In one of his post, the discouraged alumni grumbled that: "The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs under the affairs of HM Sadia Farouq has banned volunteers (from the N-Power scheme) from remarking or answering on their timeline. Volunteers can not remark anymore or answer to the Ministries tweets. Thus. And afterward."

This however sparked controversy in social media with some people expressing their view as shown below:
