There are strong indications that powerful party loyalists of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos State especially Lagos East Senetorial District have tipped Hon. Adeleke Olabanjo as the likely successor of the big vacuum left in the senate by the demise of late Senator Adebayo Osinowo popularly known as "Pepperito".
Recall that Senator Osinowo died recently owing to severe COVID-19 health complications.
He was a member of the Lagos State House of Representatives. Until his death, he was Senator representing Lagos East at the 9th Nigerian National Assembly.

Prior to this latest development, recall that recent reports have also suggest that another popular Lagos politician and businessman, Dele Alake has also been allegedly chosen to succeed the late Senator at the Red Chambers of the 9th Assembly, a report that has soon been debunked by the state chapter of the party.
In like manner, the immediate past governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode has also been rumoured to be a likely successor to late Bayo Osinowo.
SUNDAY FLAKES learnt that the former Governor is believed to be secretly mending fences with his estranged political god-father and National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu leading to his defeat at the party’s state governorship primaries that produced the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
L-R: Ambode and Tinubu
Despite all ongoing speculations and lobbying, whoever would fill the shoes of late Senator Osinowo at the 9th National Assembly remains only a matter of time.
